Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Huntsville

Have been on the hunt for a hotel that still does the whirlpool/jacuzzi/hot tub in the room, and after many phone calls and lots of nos, I found one here! And they didn't charge $200+ for the night. Here's my breakdown. Pros: Clean, smells nice, friendly and helpful staff, quiet, close to restaurants and shopping, updated linens/bathrooms, and of course the tub. It's big enough for two, with working jets, and the water filled quickly. I could make it as hot as I wanted, and the water stayed warm for a long time. There's a generous ledge around the entire thing, looks to be granite, so plenty of space for anything you need to be close at hand. Cons: Carpets are older, even threadbare in places out in the hall, I had an iron but no ironing board (but how many of us use them anyway), some vending and ice machines weren't working properly, the outdoor pool is empty (its winter right now so couldn't use it anyway), and breakfast was just sad. Breakfast was the biggest letdown. This isn't a large hotel, I wasnt expecting any hot foods, but all they had was apples, oranges, twin packs of chocolate chip muffins, and granola/nutrigrain bars to eat and coffee to drink. If they were to add some juice, yogurt, cereal, milk, oatmeal, hard boiled eggs they would have plenty of options and kept that last star. That being said, the front desk was super helpful, filled up my ice bucket and brought it to my room, and they are in the process of redoing the floors and continuing to update the rooms (larger TVs are on the way). I would absolutely stay here again, as long as they dont get rid of that tub! Lol

We had a very good experience. Very clean. Very nice desk clerk and helpful when i needed towels. Breakfast bar was well stocked. Hot tub in the room was very clean. Pool outside was clean. Totally enjoyable. Bed could have been a little softer to sleep on but not intolerable. Good location for us to go where we needed. Would recommend.

The front desk person was so energetic and friendly. The room was beyond my expectations. It was big and clean. The mattress was thick and firm. It was almost the best sleep I’ve had in weeks. It was convenient to the highway and easy to spot coming in town. We will definitely come back again.

I booked directly at the motel, got my Wyndam rewards discount, ground floor room, non smoking. I had a leak in the bathtub and reported it Sunday night. It was fixed the next day. No motel is perfect, but last time I stayed they were putting on a new roof. I have stayed maybe 7 times for business and the clientele are mostly workers away from home and families. My granddaughter delights in this pool where we have played for hours. The workers even ran for balls as we played. Most smokers are polite and step out to smoke. The ground floor is mixed, so if you are sensitive, ask for second floor. Sheets, pillows, towels, all first class. Breakfast eggs are unexciting, but dining facilities are clean and well supplied. I feel very safe here: quiet, off the beaten path, but close to dining and shopping. All rooms have fridge and microwave. Great lighting in the rooms, too. The staff is helpful and housekeeping does excellent room service.

Sat night was noisy. Keith kept it quiet Sun night. Beds are comfy. Close to Space Museum. Easy parking. Not much breakfast. But staff is nice.

I stayed at the Days Inn at 1145 McMurtrie drive and the hotel manager was very helpful. He was honest with me about what to expect. He even helped me get a room for my disability and didn't charge me anything extra. This room was almost half the price of the other hotels around it. I'm hoping to stay here next year again.

I come here EVERYTIME from Florida and I LOVE it! ALWAYS clean and spotless and VERY quiet.
